In an on-line environment, an affiliate is a site (operated by an individual or a company) that promotes or sells a product or service that is provided by another company. An affiliate website will send its visitors to this other company to complete the transaction because affiliates rarely actually deliver the product or service or provide any support for the purchase. Once the visitor has left the original site (in our case, once you leave any of the ForGreatStuff sites), the visitor is bound by the terms of the site from which they are purchasing products, services or other materials.

A good example would be a site that sold books, by becoming an Amazon.com affiliate, which is what we have done. When a visitor decides to buy a book, he or she clicks on the “Buy Now” button and is taken to the Amzaon.com website to make the actual purchase. Amazon.com collects and verifies the payment (via credit card or PayPal account) in a secure environment that only they can access, then ships the book to the customer. The affiliate (us) is taken right out of the equation.

Throughout our site you will find links to companies that sell products and information on-line. We have only included companies with good reputations that are known for doing well by their clients. After checking them out, we have become affiliates of these companies, so when you click on the link that is provided, you will be taken to their site.

If you choose to purchase any goods or services through these sites, you will be dealing with them as one of their customers. As with our Amazon example, you will become one of their clients and, so, all requests for refunds, returns, etc. will need to go through the site from whom you make your purchase.

(In other words…You post our products; your visitors click and buy; we pay you a percentage of the sale.)

The ForGreatStuff.com Affiliate Program is operated by 1ShoppingCart.com and, like programs offered by Amazon.com and others, uses a system designed to track compensation due to affiliates who drive traffic to any of the ForGreatStuff.com sites that results in sales through our secure, on-line order system. You will be paid an additional commission on sales generated by any sub-affiliates you refer to us.
